It started with a question we didn't expect

In 2012, we founded Snapbar — a photo activation platform for events and brands. Over the next decade, more than 10,000 brands used it for AI photo booths, digital trading cards, live displays, and more. Then clients started asking: "Can we use this for company headshots?"

It made sense. Our remote capture, AI enhancement, and branded delivery infrastructure translated directly to headshot management. What began as a response to client requests became its own product with its own workflows and a growing customer base outside of events entirely.

But the product always lived inside Snapbar, a brand known for experiential marketing, not HR infrastructure. Different buyers, different success metrics, different motion. It deserved its own identity.

In 2026, we gave it one. Scale Headshots launched as a standalone brand with a dedicated roadmap and a single mission: make headshot management effortless at any company size.

How we got here

2012 - Snapbar launches

Founded in Seattle as a photo activation company for events and brands.

2019 - 10,000 brands and counting

Enterprise clients including Microsoft, Wells Fargo, and EA are using Snapbar products.

2020 - The remote shift

Companies need headshots without in-person sessions. We build a self-service capture tool and demand takes off.

2023 - Platform takes shape

Style studios, team management, approval workflows, AI enhancement, and a REST API.

2026 - Scale Headshots launches

Own brand, dedicated roadmap, focused mission: headshot infrastructure for companies of any size.
